Below is a video showcasing inspiring stories from teenage mums helped by the Family Nurse Partnership.
Below is some recent feedback we have had from clients in Coventry.
How do you feel about having a family nurse visit you?
I feel good because it’s like a therapy session, and helping and tracking my baby’s development on top.
I feel good because I like the nurse visiting and giving advice and reassurance.
I feel happy about having my family nurse visit us, as she supports our family a lot and helps us with things we’re unsure of
I feel very relaxed and happy because I’m well informed in the proper nurture and care for my baby with the support of my family nurse.
If your baby could talk to you, how would your baby feel about having a family nurse?
Excited because every time we see our family nurse, we do different things each time.
My babies feel safe because they know their parents have support.
Safe as their mum has been informed of what to expect and how to help them have a good start to life.
My baby feels happy because our family nurse takes into consideration our babies health and cares for them just as much as we do.
How do you feel about the information and materials that are included in the visits?
Helped because I didn’t know some things about babies before, and now I know and understand a lot more.
It’s exciting to know that we can do these little things and get a little messy!
I feel that the information and materials are helpful and relevant.
They are really helpful as they are not only visual but also informal and relaxing compared to hospital/doctor visits.
Tell me what you want me to know so that we can make your visits the best they can be for you. This is what I like best about the programme and our visits:
I like how the family nurse doesn’t just come to check on my baby but also talks to me as well about how I’m feeling and helps me with my mental health.
I like that I learn new things and the seasonal activities for example, at Halloween and Christmas.
I love that there are visual props and printouts that I can read and fully understand what to expect.
I like the relationship my family nurse and I have built, and I don’t get scared to ask any questions or raise any concerns.
