School nurses are here to support you throughout your secondary school years in various aspects, including well-being, safety, health concerns, mental health, nutrition, sleep, puberty, and more. School nurses provide confidential and non-judgmental support and guidance. However, if the school nurse feels that you or someone else may be in danger based on what you share, they are obligated to inform someone. As there are many specialised support options available for young people, in some instances, the school nurse may refer you to other services.

How to Refer to the School Nursing Service (Secondary)
There are multiple ways to refer a child to the school nursing service. Young people can self-refer using the contact information provided below. Additionally, we accept referrals from schools and parents through the Year 9 Health Questionnaire completed by students during Year 9, or via the child’s GP.
