The Lullaby Trust offers safer sleep advice. They explain the steps you can take to keep your baby safer, reducing the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Follow this advice for every sleep, day and night, until your baby is 12 months old (or 12 months after their due date for premature or low birth weight babies).
The safest place for a baby to sleep is in their own clear, flat, firm, separate sleep space (e.g, a cot or Moses basket) in the same room as you.
